Can positive music and powerful quotes transform our lives in joyful ways?

Can positive music quotes transform our lives in a joyful way?

Yes, positive spiritual music and powerful quotes from Scripture and other uplifting sources have the power to truly transform our thoughts, habits, actions, and lives in incredibly joyful and loving ways.

Many of the best power quotes in existence are given to us by God Himself, through His prophets, as recorded in both the Bible and The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ, which is why they have become the #1 and #2 most read self-help books in the world, and #1 and #6 most read books of any kind in the history of the world, despite the endless false slander and opposition against them from the devil and his team.

We have three sets of Power Quotes on our website, which I suggest you read and reflect on with your family, or alone if you live alone. You may think you’re already too busy, but it doesn’t need to take up any more of your time. While enjoying a meal together, for example, you can simply take turns reading aloud and discussing a powerful quote from any of the three sets on my website, or find other good ones to share.

1. Powerful quotes from the Bible.

2. Powerful Quotes from “The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ.” The Book of Mormon is a powerful testimony of the Bible and of Jesus Christ as our Savior, even though you have heard false slanders against it from those who have no idea of the beautiful truths it teaches. They are simply retelling false slanders that the devil and his team have been spreading about the Book of Mormon for almost 200 years to try to keep people from reading it and rejoicing in the true love, joy, and inner peace found in it. We can bring this information into our lives as we prayerfully study both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. You can learn more about the Book of Mormon by clicking on the link on our website, called “Super Fascinating Facts About the Book of Mormon.” This Power Quotes group also includes quotes from the Doctrine and Covenants, which are revelations from the Prophet Joseph Smith and a couple of other modern prophets, and some quotes from The Pearl of Great Price, which has sections about the prophet Moses and Abraham that are not in the Bible.

3. Powerful quotes from other sources of wisdom.

Reflecting on wise, empowering quotes gives us the inner clarity of thought to make wiser decisions and the power to prayerfully pursue those wiser decisions regardless of the opposition thrown at us by the devil and his deceitful team of liars and peer-pressure manipulators.

For example, I love this simple and wise quote from Abraham Lincoln, where he taught this truth: “When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad.” Both the Bible and the Book of Mormon teach the same principle of truth in many different verses. Isn’t that a great, simple, powerful quote that we should lovingly teach every child of God to memorize and understand from a very early age? We would all make wiser and better decisions if we repeated that simple quote in our minds, and others like it from the Bible and the Book of Mormon, every time we are tempted by the devil and his team to make a painful, evil, and sinful decision.

The Bible and the Book of Mormon are filled with wonderful, uplifting, powerful quotes from God that will bless and strengthen your life and bring more love, joy, and inner peace to your relationships with God, yourself, your family, and others if you will simply take the time to prayerfully reflect on them. The devil and his team of liars and deceivers hate it when we reflect on wise, powerful quotes from the scriptures or other good sources because it makes it very difficult for them to get us to make bad choices, which give the devil and his team power over our lives with bad habits, addictions, and so on. They want us to be as miserable as they are because misery loves company. And our loving Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, want us to be filled with joy and inner peace as we follow the example and teachings of Jesus Christ and, in doing so, show love and service to God and His other children.

Some simple, powerful phrases that can help us make wiser decisions in times of trial:

Some powerful quotes will be so meaningful, important, and powerful to you personally that you will want to memorize them and recite them quietly in your mind or out loud again and again when you are tempted to make the wrong decision. For example, if you are ever tempted to choose a choice that brings you pain and harm, such as choosing anger or a bad or negative complaining attitude, when you lose in a game or sport, or something goes wrong in your life, you can quote to yourself: “It’s just a game, it’s just a game,” or “This too shall pass,” or “No misfortune is so bad that complaining about it won’t make it worse.” Jeffrey R. Holland

When you’re tempted to get discouraged when facing a difficult trial during your Earth school of hard knocks, you can repeat this very helpful, powerful quote: “It’s just a test, it’s just a test,” and this one: “This too shall pass.” Every difficult Earth school trial eventually passes, and we can learn and grow from it if we pray and connect with God’s help.

You wouldn’t want to be stuck in a super-easy, kindergarten-type Earth school your whole life, with no challenges or difficult tests to learn from, would you? Wanting a quiet life is wanting a life without much learning or growth. During trials, you can also sing to yourself the great quotes from the song, “Count Your Many Blessings, Name Them One By One,” because even during our toughest challenges and trials in life, we still have countless blessings to count and thank God for.

Or maybe you feel like you are being strongly tempted to give in to a bad or wrong choice or to give up on life; then you may want to remember this powerful quote and promise from God Himself in God’s Word/Bible: “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. But God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” Bible: 1 Corinthians 10:13 Isn’t that a wonderful and encouraging promise from God Himself? I and millions of others have learned through much study, prayer, fasting, and experience of our own and others that we can always trust God and the promises He has made to us.

Or this simple and powerful quote: “Inch by inch, life is a piece of cake; yard by yard, life is hard.” My dear and lovely wife, Amparo, and I would quote that simple, yet very powerful Power Quote almost every day to ourselves and each other, to help us get through an incredibly challenging two-year project that at times seemed incredibly stressful, endless, and impossible.

Or maybe you’re feeling like someone is “making you so angry” that you’re about to explode in anger. That will only cause pain and suffering and damage your relationships with a family member or another child of God, or damage your own relationship with yourself and your inner peace; then you can quote one of the following powerful quotes written by me, Charles Hunt (or make up your own powerful quotes and memorize them) such as: “Anger is always a painful and foolish choice that makes all relationships worse.”

“All true joy in this life and in the future lies in relationships, so never make bad decisions that damage relationships.”

“I have the power to make my own decisions. No one can force me to make bad or foolish decisions.”

“God is always wiser and smarter than peer pressure groups, which push us to make painful and foolish decisions.”

“Peer pressure almost always pushes us to make painful and foolish decisions, not good ones.”

“When peer pressure pushes you to turn left, turn right—toward doing what is good and right, and toward God’s wisdom and decisions for your life.”

Or when you’re tempted to make a decision you know isn’t good for God, you can use this powerful quote from one of my favorite Christian songs: “Do what’s right, let the consequences follow.” Why would it be helpful for families to take a few minutes as a family (perhaps during family dinner or just before bed) to reflect on and discuss a couple of powerful quotes and good questions?

When you’re tempted to get discouraged when something “non-eternal” doesn’t go your way, you can remember that: “All true joy and progress is found in relationships with God, with oneself, with family members, and with others.” As you reflect on this quote, it will help you not worry so much about “stuff” or “things” that don’t have eternal value.

Isn’t it true that we all learn best by prayerfully reflecting on good principles and good questions?

By reflecting on powerful quotes from God’s Word and other sources of wisdom, any child of God can transform their own thoughts and lives in truly joyful ways, and also greatly bless and strengthen the lives of their family members and other children of God.
